

Friedrich-August itinerary
Guided excursion following the footsteps of the “King of Saxony”. Special attractions: mountain views, geology, flora and fauna, history. Starting point for this historical excursion which is truly unique is "Passo Sella". We walk up to the top of "Col Rodella" and then follow the high route as far as the "Rifugio Sasso Piatto". This part of the path is named after the king of Saxony (Frederick Augustus II),"Friedrich-August”. In 1904 he stayed with his court at Siusi and loved walking in the mountains. From the Sasso Piatto hut you can proceed all the way to "Cresta di Siusi" or else descend to Saltria. |

Catinaccio
Guided excursion through the kingdom of the legendary dwarf King Laurin, "Ré Laurino". Special attractions: Geology and a South Tyrolean legend. We go up on the Paolina chairlift and then follow the "sentiero Hirzel" northwards as far as it allows. Take note of the interesting stratifications and the waterfalls on the south side of the wall. The narrow path winds its way across the "Passo di Vajolon", along the mountain walls and up a metal ladder. At the Vajolon Pass (2,560 m) we cross the rock towards Mugoni and go down a narrow path as far as the fields below. We now pass the Fensterlturm tower and the mass of rock called Masaré". On the way we stop off at the "Rifugio Pederiva". The descent is down through the meadows of Ciazonal as far as "Passo Carrezza". |

Forcella del Sassolungo
Guided excursion through petrified coralline barriers. Special attractions: geology, mountain views, flora and fauna. From the Passo Sella we walk along the "Sassolungo" as far as the “Rifugio Toni Demetz” (2,684 m). Here we find ourselves in the middle of an ancient coralline barrier which once upon a time was covered by water. A short descent takes us to the “Dantersasc”. These rather hostile Dolomitic surroundings display some amazing shapes and colours. The history of alpinism is written on these towers. The “Alpe di Siusi” open out before us like an oasis with splendid meadows covered in flowers. We take a break at the “Rifugio Sasso Lungo” and then carry on to Saltria. It is also possible to go all the way around the Sassolungo. |

Lago Antermoja
Guided excursion to volcanoes, coralline barriers and six monks. Special attractions: mountain views, surrounding countryside, geology. The starting point for our excursion will be the village of Pera in Val di Fassa. We shall arrive at the “Rifugio Gardeccia” (1,900 m) by shuttle bus and then cross a rocky and stony area called “Larsec” as far as the Passo Laussa (2,700 m) to reach the “Antermoja lake”. We shall take a break at the Antermoja hut. We then go down along the volcanic terrain of the Val Duron and then back up again to the Dialer on the “Alpe di Siusi”. The path will take us as far as Saltria. |
