The Rizzi family is original of Campitello di Fassa

Simone, the grandfather, worked as a blacksmith as it was tradition in this family. He was married to Domenica Soraruf and they had four children: Batestin, Simon, Luigi e Orsola.

Luigi was born in 1892 and after studying art at the school of Art he went to Landshut in Bavaria to learn the job of decorator. During the first World War he was taken prisoner of the Russian and was deported to Siberia. In 1921 he was able to escape from prison and left for Italy. In 1923 Luigi got married to Maria Lastei and had twelve children: Gino(who died in early age), Luigia, Simone ( who became a Francescan Friar), Celso, Adolfo, Lidia, Rosina, Mario, Gino, Riccardo, Anita and Flora.

The Sporthotel is, nowadays, run by the two brothers Riccardo and Mario.

Mario was born in 1934 and he was still very young when he was sent to Merano to earn a living by learning a job. Then he went to Switzerland where he remained until 1958 working as a painter. In 1962 he got married to Giuseppina Rizzi and they had five children: Emanuela, Anita, Luciana, Maria Teresa e Francesco.

Riccardo was born in 1937 and worked as well as a painter for a few years in Silando and then joined his brother in Switzerland. Later he became a ski instructor and set up the first Ski School in Campitello.In 1962 he got married to Erika Zahn, a German lady from Kassel, and had three children : Daniela, Stefano and Tania.

Since 1957 the Rizzi Family has managed the guesthouse Enrosadira, which in 1962 became The Sport Hotel Enrosadira. From then it has always been run as a family business,

At the reception the cousins Maria Teresa and Stefano, together with Zuzana, will welcome you and will do their best to please you in any way.

Francesco and Anita will welcome you in the pleasant homely atmosphere of our restaurant, where you will enjoy unforgettable evenings tasting the gastronomic specialities that our chef Domenico, with us since 1990, proposes each day. Menus provide a combination of traditional and modern dishes. Vegetarian and special diet menus are available on request.

...upstairs you will meet Emanuela, Rosanna and Gabriella who are there to make sure your room is clean and cosy and Mariella, with us for over 30 years, who does the ironing.

Our hotel is simple, it doesn't provide all the modern comforts and facilities but we all make our best to make you feel at home and supply your requests. We wish you a wonderful holiday by nurturing your body, mind, and spirit and to go back home with very happy memories of your holiday and of us !
